I'm stirring our basement spiders by doing this-- loosening portfolio laces, flopping open the covers and pattering through archives. Craft paper collages. Smudgy pastels. Some watercolors.
Here's part of a series of small paintings I made the winter before our departure from Indianapolis, in 2009. It's a portrait-quilt of images from Garfield Park, tied together with thread.
The project (initiated by Garfield Park Art Center) explored the general question, "What is art?"
